Subaqueous Lands Permit Application

Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDot Right-of-Way, 134-5.00-172.00) – To remove approximately 12 cubic yards of accumulated material from pipe outfall 24, and a 25 foot long section of outfall channel, temporarily impacting 531 sq. ft. of subaqueous lands in a drainage ditch tributary to Beach Cove, located adjacent to SR 1 and Salt Hay Drive, south of Bethany Beach, Sussex County, DE, and to dispose of the material at Quillen Borrow Pit, located on Old Mill Road in Ocean View, Sussex County, DE

Raymond Williams (235-16.00-74.01) – To construct a 4 by 10 foot long pier and a 5 by 30 foot long dock in Beaver Dam Creek at 28212 Round Pole Bridge Road, Milton, Sussex County, DE

Subaqueous Lands Permit and Water Quality Application

U.S Army Corps of Engineers – To maintenance dredge approximately 5,000 cubic yards of material annually in shallow areas with depths less than -6 feet NAVD88 in the Mispillion Inlet, Slaughter Beach, Sussex County, DE. To beneficially reuse the material by placing the material in the nearshore zone along the north side of the Mispillion Inlet Slaughter Beach, Kent County, DE

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 20 days from this notice.  Please indicate in your letter whether your intention is to request a public hearing or whether you are simply providing comments for the Department’s consideration. If a public hearing is desired, please be advised that a public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
