The Department invites public comment on a proposal to clean-up of the 2002-2012 West Newport Pike Site located in Wilmington. The Site, was historically occupied by a dry cleaning facility from the late 1960s to the early 1980s.  Multiple environmental investigations of the Site identified a groundwater plume of chlorinated solvents in the southern and southwestern portions of the Site.  Additional off-site environmental investigations have determined that the impacted groundwater have migrated onto the adjoining properties to the south and southwest, and is being addressed through land use restictions.
