Notice is hereby given that Christiana Care Health Services, Inc. – Wilmington Hospital has submitted an application, pursuant to 7 DE Admin. Code 1102, Section 2.1, 11.2.9, and 12.3 for an amendment to their operating permit at 501 West 14th Street, Wilmington, Delaware.
Christiana Care Health Services, Inc. requests to revise their federally enforceable limits of operating hours and fuel usage in order to incorporate two 1500 kW emergency generators, authorized by Permits: APC-2010/0059&0060-OPERATION (FE)(NSPS), one new 750 kW emergency generator (Permit:APC-2019/0079-CONSTRUCTION(NSPS)(FE)) and one new 1000 kW emergency generator (Permit:APC-2019/0080-CONSTRUCTION(NSPS)(FE)). The generators provide additional emergency back up support for the hospital’s expansion. The application, the “draft” permit (APC-1980/1268-OPERATION(Amendment 4)(NSPS)(SM)), all materials that the applicant has submitted (other than those granted confidential treatment under DNREC rules), and a copy or summary of other materials, if any, considered in preparing the “draft” permit may be inspected at the office of the Division of Air Quality, State Street Commons, 100 W. Water Street, Suite 6A, Dover, DE 19904. To submit comments, for additional information or for an appointment to inspect the public file, please contact Tracy Mattson in the Dover office at (302) 739-9402.
A public hearing concerning the permitting action will not be held unless the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control receives a request for such hearing within thirty (30) days from the date of this notice, ending August 5, 2019. A request for a hearing shall be in writing and must show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
