Wastewater Facilities Construction Permit Application: Sussex County

Division of Water
Start Date: February 26, 2020
End Date: March 11, 2020

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Division of Water, hereby gives notice that a permit application has been received from:

Sussex County proposes to construct approximately one thousand and twenty-five linear feet (1,025 LF) of eight (8) inch diameter sanitary sewer force main from their existing West Rehoboth sanitary sewer district pump station 202 located west of Rehoboth Beach and just north of the intersection of South Timberlake Drive and Jeb Drive.  The proposed force main will be installed across the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal and interconnect to an existing abandoned sixteen (16) inch diameter force main along Roosevelt Avenue.  The purpose of the force main construction is to allow Sussex County to create a two way discharge from pump station 202 that can potentially divert flows from the Sussex County Wolfe Creek wastewater treatment facility to the Rehoboth Beach wastewater treatment facility.
