The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of 4601 North Market Street Site located in Wilmington, Delaware. The Site previously operated as a commercial shopping mall. The Site requires the following: an Environmental Covenant restricting use to non-residential; restriction of groundwater use; and a Contaminated Material Management Plan. The Site is proposed to be redeveloped as a self-storage facility. The June 2019 Final Plan of Remedial Action is being amended to require a submission of a Certification of Completion of Remedy (COCR) request after approval of the CMMP and recording of the Environmental Covenant.
DNREC issued public notice of the Amended Proposed Plan for 4601 North Market Street Site on March 4th, 2020. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Amended Proposed Plan. Details of the Amended Final Plan are available at: http://www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
