Becoming an Outdoors-Woman is a full weekend event with onsite tent camping at Lums Pond State Park’s Area 4 picnic area. All participants must check in at Area 4 upon arrival (not the park office).
The program offers a variety of courses taught by volunteer instructors who share their expertise and provide instruction in a safe, supportive, and non-competitive atmosphere. Courses include archery, birding, freshwater fishing, cooking your catch, horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking and more.
The cost of participating in the full Becoming and Outdoors-Woman weekend is $140, which includes meals, site fees and course expenses and supplies. The cost of participating on Saturday only is $100.
