Join the discussion on how to improve water quality and reduce runoff flooding in local communities.
DNREC staff from Delaware Coastal Programs and from several private-sector partners, part of the Delaware Resilient Community Partnership, will present information from recent studies of impervious surfaces in Delaware’s coastal communities. They will present examples on best practices for controlling stormwater runoff. And they will lead a discussion of the unique challenges of each community.
The information gathered at these workshops will be used to help each community create toolkits they can use to develop strategies for reducing existing and future impervious surface coverage and increasing stormwater infiltration.
The workshop will be presented as part of the community’s regular town council or commission meeting.
