Notice has been given that:

Silverbrook Cemetery Company requests an amendment to their permits to operate two (2) Jones cremation units at their 3300 Lancaster Ave., Wilmington, New Castle County facility. The amendments add updated language and requirements to the permits. Each Jones cremation unit will be permitted to emit 0.05 tons per twelve (12) month rolling period of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), 0.78 tons per twelve (12) month rolling period of nitrogen oxides (NOx), 0.52 tons per twelve (12) month rolling period of carbon monoxide (CO), 0.045 tons per twelve (12) month rolling period of particulate matter (PM-10), and 0.34 tons per twelve (12) month rolling period of sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions by Permit: APC-82/0598-Construction/Operation (Amendment 1) and Permit: APC-82/0599-Construction/Operation (Amendment 1).

A public hearing on any of the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC receives a request for a hearing regarding that application within 15 days from the date of this notice, ending March 1, 2021. A request for a hearing shall be in writing. The request must also show a familiarity with the application and a reasoned statement of the permit’s probable impact.
