Allocation Permit: Lewes Board of Public Works

Lewes Board of Public Works has requested a renewal and modification of its public water allocation for five existing public wells and one proposed public well. The requested allocation is 3.6 million gallons (MG) per day, 82 MG per month, and 980 MG per year. The wells serve approximately 3,400 residential people in Sussex County.

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received by July 5, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. A public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits a familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
