A Federal Consistency Determination has been submitted to the Delaware Coastal Management Program for the following: Shortfin Mako Shark Retention Limit Rule Modification (2022.0054)

The National Marine Fisheries Service is proposing to implement a flexible shortfin mako shark retention limit with a default limit of zero in commercial and recreational Atlantic highly migratory species fisheries. Research and sampling of shortfin mako sharks would be allowed on a case-by-case basis under exempted fishing permits and scientific research permits.

Comments concerning this Federal Consistency Determination will be accepted for 20 days from the date of this notice.
