Final Plan of Remedial Action for the Former Thompson Gas Station (DE-1472)

The Department has adopted a plan regarding the clean-up of the Former Thompson Gas Station Site located in Laurel, DE. The Site, once used as a filling station required a Remedial Action Work Plan; removal of underground storage tanks; a supplemental vapor intrusion investigation must be conducted prior to use of the current on-site building, or any building constructed in the future; abate asbestos containing materials prior to or during demolition activities at the site; an Environmental Covenant; Contaminated Materials Management Plan; Remedial Action Completion Report; and a Long Term Stewardship Plan.

DNREC issued public notice of the Proposed Plan for the Former Thompson Gas Station Site on December 20, 2020. There were no comments or questions from the public regarding the Proposed Plan. Details of the Final Plan are available online at: www.nav.dnrec.delaware.gov/DEN3/
