Subaqueous Lands Permit Application

Oceanport Industries, LLC (0606000015) – To maintenance dredge to a depth of 32 feet below mean low water, removing up to 45,000 cubic yards of material in up to 3 dredging events during a 5-year period in the Delaware River at 6200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, New Castle County, Delaware, and to dispose of the sediment at Weeks Marine, White’s Basin disposal facility in Logan Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey

Julie Kim (1-34-13.19-117.00) – To construct a 6 by 25 foot long dock and to install approximately 55 linear feet of rip-rap for bank stabilization in the Bethany Loop Canal at 306 2nd Street, Bethany Beach, Sussex County, DE

New Castle County, Dept of Public Works (08-048.40-043 & 08-048.00-069) – To perform stream restoration by re-alignment to 9 foot wide by 262.21 linear feet with the construction of six (6) stone control steps and planting 4,176 square feet along the banks of the re-aligned channel in an Unnamed Tributary to Pike Creek located adjacent to 130 Upper Pike Creek Road, Newark, New Castle County, DE 

Division of Watershed Stewardship (1-34-13.00-94.00, 1-34-22.00-19.00-Disposal) – To mechanically maintenance dredge approximately 800 cubic yards of material to -3.0 feet below MLW in the Assawoman Canal at the entrance channel of the Bethany Loop Canal located adjacent to the Assawoman Canal Trailhead in Ocean View, Sussex County, DE and to temporarily dewater material onsite and/or transport dredged material via water-tight trucks to an off-site staging and dewatering area near the dune crossing located in Fenwick Island State Park, adjacent to Logan Street in South Bethany, Sussex County, DE

Michael Paese and Blake Kimbrough (3-35-4.19-95.03) – To construct a 3 by 10 foot long wetland walkway, a 4 by 26 foot long pier, a 6 by 50 foot long dock and to install one boat lift with four (4) associated pilings in the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal at 330 Pilottown Road, Lewes, Sussex County, DE

City of New Castle (2101800010) – To install 120 linear feet of rip-rap revetment consisting of approximately 122 cubic yards of material directly in front of an existing failing bulkhead and to replenish 130 linear feet of an existing rip-rap revetment in the Delaware River at 200 South Street, New Castle, New Castle County, DE

201 Anglers Road, LLC (3-35-8.08-10.00) -To remove two (2) existing 3 by 15 foot long piers and two (2) free-standing mooring pilings. Additionally, to construct a 4 by 39 foot long pier, a 4 by 32 foot long pier and to install a boat lift with six (6) associated pilings, a double PWC lift with four (4) and five (5) 1.5 by 30 foot long boatlift catwalks in the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal at 201 Anglers Road, Lewes, Sussex County, DE

A public hearing on the above applications will NOT be held unless the Secretary of DNREC determines that a public hearing is in the public interest or if a written meritorious objection to the application is received within 20 days from this notice. Please indicate in your letter whether your intention is to request a public hearing or whether you are simply providing comments for the Department’s consideration. If a public hearing is desired, please be advised that a public hearing request shall be deemed meritorious if it exhibits familiarity with the application and provides a reasoned statement of the action’s probable impact.
