In addition, CAPS staff perform periodic inspections of Delaware facilities for compliance with issued permits and other regulatory requirements. Compliance inspectors are on site daily at major solid waste facilities to ensure they are run according to Delaware regulations.
Delaware’s Regulations Governing Solid Waste (7 DE Admin. Code 1301) require permits to operate solid waste facilities within the State of Delaware. A Delaware Environmental Application Background Statement must be completed and submitted with the permit application.
For more information on the permitting process and the application process, contact the Compliance and Permitting Section at 302-739-9403.
